About me.

Since 2004, I've dedicated myself to helping adults and children overcome their biggest obstacles and embrace healthier, happier lives. My broad experience enables me to effectively guide, support, and help you create the life you deserve. I hold an MSc in Psychology (though I cannot prescribe or diagnose) and a BA HONS Degree in Children, Schools, and Families. My qualifications and accomplishments are detailed on the Additional Information tab. My goal is to foster a life balance that emphasises your well-being and celebrates all facets of your authentic self. It's time to nurture your body and soul once more!

Children and Young People:

I have more than 20 years of experience in education, supporting children and young people by providing tools that help them succeed not just academically but socially and emotionally. I focus on empowering them to understand themselves better, including how their brains function and how this influences their behaviours and decisions. When children and young people have this knowledge, they can use it to enhance their mental health and well-being, becoming happier and more confident. Being a teenager is challenging for both them and us, especially as hormones cause new difficulties, making them feel misunderstood or undervalued. I aim to help young people navigate these years and develop strategies to manage their lives more effectively.

Adults:

I bring extensive experience in supporting individuals through recovery from abuse, domestic violence, coercive control, grief, addiction, depression, life coaching, mental health, well-being, and relationships. Walking away or moving on isn't always straightforward; often, we first need to accept what happened, reflect, make decisions, and take steps toward healing. That's where I come in. I assist you in restoring balance to your mind and body using various therapeutic approaches. I listen attentively, understand your story, identify your life script, and explore what motivates you. Together, we develop a new, realistic plan with clear goals and timelines. My aim is to help you better understand yourself and foster self-love.

Personal experiences:

I firmly believe that personal experiences matter more than formal education. My childhood experiences have taught me a lot about CPTSD, surviving abuse, and neglect. I've also faced challenges related to cancer, suicide, and divorce. I know what it's like to be a single mother, to care for a neurodiverse child, or to have ADHD. I understand family struggles and feelings of not being good enough or deserving of love. I was once the angry child, the rebellious teenager, and the misunderstood adult. After years of therapy with people who didn't understand me, I educated myself- hence my qualifications. I don't wear a suit, and my therapy space isn't clinical. In fact, I'm more likely to be found in jeans, a T-shirt, and trainers! My goal is to help you through my personal experiences and what neuroscience is revealing. I look forward to working with you!

If I believe you or your child need more specialised support, I will guide you to the right services and suggest seeking their help. My role isn't to replace professional services but to support and motivate you or your child to feel inspired. You've taken a great step, acknowledging that extra support is needed - well done!

Now, allow me to help guide you/them through to a more fulfilling stage of life, after all, we only get one chance at it so let's get it right! All I ask, is that you trust the process.
