About me.

Since 2004, my mission has been to help and empower adults and children to overcome their most challenging obstacles and start living happier and healthier lifestyles. My extensive experience means that I'm fully equipped to guide, support and assist you in building the life you clearly deserve. I have an MSc in Psychology (I cannot prescribe or diagnose) and a BA HONS Degree in Children, Schools and Families. My qualifications and achievements don't stop there, though; you can view them on the FAQ tab! I aim to create a life balance that prioritises your well-being and celebrates all aspects of your true self. It's time to start nurturing your body and soul again!

Children and Young People:

I have worked in education for nearly 20 years helping children and young people by giving them the tools they need to succeed, not only in education but socially and emotionally. I do this by empowering them to understand themselves better, including how their brain works and how it influences their behaviours and choices. Once children and young people are armed with this knowledge, they can use the tools provided to improve their mental health and well-being and ultimately become happier and more confident. Being a teenager isn't easy, for them or us! As hormones come into play a whole new world of challenges can occur and they can feel misunderstood or unimportant. I can help young people to negotiate these years and provide them with strategies to help them manage their lives more productively.

Adults:

I have a wealth of experience in dealing with the aftermath of abuse, domestic violence, coercive control, grief, addiction, depression, life coaching, suicide, mental health and well-being and relationships. It isn't always easy to just walk away, tell someone or move on; we first need to be able to accept what has happened, reflect, decide and then take steps to heal. This is where I come in. I can work with you to help bring your mind and body back into equilibrium through various therapeutic techniques. I listen, I hear you, discover you life script, and look at what motivates you. Then, together, we explore a new script, complete with new goals and ambitions in a realistic and time-sensitive manner. I will help you to understand yourself better and learn to love who you are.

Personal experiences:

I am a strong believer that a person's personal experiences far outweigh their level of education. I have experienced things in childhood that has given me a wealth of knowledge when it comes to CPTSD, surviving abuse and being neglected. I have also experienced the world of cancer, suicide and divorce. I know what it feels like to be a single mum, to have a neurodiverse child, and to have ADHD. I understand family complications and not feeling good enough, or worthy enough of love. I was the angry child, the rebellious teen and the misunderstood adult. I had years of therapy with people who didn't understand me so educated myself instead; hence my qualifications. I don't wear a suit, and my therapy room isn't clinical. In fact, you are more likely to see me in jeans, a t-shirt and trainers! My aim is to help you using my own experiences together with what neuroscience is teaching us. I look forward to getting started with you. If for any reason, I feel that you/they require more specialised support, I will signpost you/them to the relevant services and recommend that you seek their help. My role is not to replace any required specialised service but to compliment them by motivating you/them to be inspired. You've come this far, you've accepted that you or your child needs some extra support - well done!

Now, allow me to help guide you/them through to a more fulfilling stage of life, after all, we only get one chance at it so let's get it right! All I ask, is that you trust the process.
